Become a Member

Join the party in a few minutes. Start with your National ID or passport number to check whether you are already a member.

Membership is open to registered voters.

This form also serves as your entry to the party's voter register drive. If you are not yet a registered voter, visit your nearest IEBC registration centre, then join here.

Already a member of another party?

You can belong to only one political party at a time. Under the Political Parties Act, a person cannot be a member of more than one political party. If you are currently registered with another party, you must resign from it before your membership here can be confirmed by the Registrar.

1 Check your current status. Dial *509# and enter your National ID and first name, use the IPPMS self-service portal, or check on eCitizen.
2 Resign from your current party. Resign online through the IPPMS Membership Resignation service (confirm with the one-time password sent to your phone), or give the party a signed, stamped resignation letter with a copy of your National ID.
3 The Registrar is notified within 7 days. The party, the member, or the relevant Clerk must notify the Registrar of Political Parties within seven days, after which your name is removed from that party's register.

Party membership and voter registration are different things. To confirm your voter registration, use the verify page or send your ID number to 70000.

4. Party wings

Choose the groups you would like to take part in. You can pick as many as you like, or none at all.

Youth League Members aged 35 and under organising the party's youth agenda. Women's League Women members advancing representation and welfare across the party. Men's Forum Men members organising around the party's grassroots programmes. Professionals Members in salaried and professional practice offering technical support. Traders and Business Traders, hawkers, and business owners on markets and enterprise policy. Farmers Members in crop, livestock, and agribusiness on the party's land and food agenda. Boda Boda Riders and operators organising on transport, licensing, and safety. Persons with Disabilities Members advancing accessibility and inclusion within the party.

5. Political party declaration

The law allows you to belong to only one political party at a time. Tell us where you stand.
